These cream cheese and berry pinwheel pastries are all you look for in a quick and light dessert.
They are super yummy, especially if you're anything like me and just love desserts with cream filling, fresh fruit over a flaky and perfectly crispy pastry.
Great for breakfast, snack or dessert.
So easy to make and so pretty that are a great idea for parties. A sure way to impress your guests!
The best part about this recipe: I use store-bought Jus Rol Puff Pastry which is super convenient. It's refrigerated (so no wasting time to defrost), pre-rolled and comes already on parchment paper.
It's made with top quality ingredients.
And best of all, makes incredible desserts with very little effort. Every, single, time!
I've used this puff pastries in several other recipes recently.
Remember my berries and custard pastries, or the almond swirls?!?
Oh I'm sure you remember the deliciously flaky Millefoglie!!
Can't forget about that one.
Make sure to check out my video recipe to see how I cut the pastry to get these pretty pinwheels!
I love this cream cheese filling flavored with vanilla extract and lemon zest. It's easy to make and perfectly combines with the berries.
If you don't want to use cream cheese, there are alternatives like ricotta (in the same amount). OR you can skip the cream cheese and just add extra jam.
I used strawberry jam, which is what I had available. But you can also use blueberry or raspberry jam (not a big fan of the tiny seeds in the raspberry jam). Or any other fruit really - four fruit, cherry, fig ... your choice!
Ready to try it too?!?
