Guilt-free scrumptious zucchini chips wholesomely made with the NewAir Magic Chef oil-less Air Fryer

This Magic Chef Digital XL Air Fryer really does magical things. With its extra-large (read HUGE!) basket, digital and easy-to-use touchscreen, this air fryer makes dinner for the whole family super easy, quick and perfectly wholesome. And not to mention the absence of fried-food smell in the kitchen (big plus!), AND the easy clean up (just push the button to pop out the basket and wash).

What I love the most about this little miracle machine is that not only you can use it for the usual fried comfort food, but also to make a whole lot of other dishes and desserts. In the recipe book included with my air-fryer, there are so many recipes I want to try. From perfectly scrumptious egg rolls to mouth-watering chicken fajitas. And a cinnamon bread pudding that makes me drool just looking at it.
Since I got this air fryer, I've experimented with a bunch of recipes. I've first tested it with french fries, tater-tots, and these fried zucchinis of course. They all turned out perfectly crispy and golden. Not oily nor soggy, and ready in a beat!
I even made my Italian panzerotti last weekend, and no one could tell the difference from my usual traditional version. You can follow this recipe and rather than frying in oil, you can cook them in the pre-heated air fryer at 400 degrees F for about 8 minutes. Oh-so good!
Here are some things I've learned after using my air fryer several times.
It's a good idea to pre-heat it for a few minutes so when you add your food the oven is at the right temperature.
Do not overcrowd the tray, and make just one layer of ingredients (chicken, zucchini, tate tots ...) because you need enough air circulating around the food to make it crispy on all sides.
For things like french fries you can fill the basket with the recommended amount, just make sure to shake the basket at least once (or a few times even better) while cooking, to mix it up and cook more evenly.

INGREDIENTS:
YIELD: about 2 servings
- 1 medium zucchini
- 1 cup of bread crumbs (plain or your favorite)
- 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese
- 1 eggs, beaten
- salt and pepper to taste
PREPARATION:
TIME: 10 minutes to prepare plus 10 minutes to cook per batch
Cut the zucchini into thin slices.
Combine the bread crumbs and parmesan cheese in a bowl.
Dip each slice of zucchini into beaten egg first.
And then roll in the bread crumb mixture.
Place one layer of zucchini in the air fryer basket, trying not to overlap.
You might have to cook in a few batches.
Bake for about 8 minutes, shake the basket and for another 5 or until crispy on all sides.
Serve with your favorite tomato sauce for dipping.
